SCRIPT READING
RADIO DRAMA SCRIPTS - ESTABLISHED WRITERS
From dramatists with a track record of writing
professionally for broadcast and from reputable agents, scripts
and ideas are considered at no cost to the writer and should be
sent directly to our office (address on the contacts
page).
RADIO DRAMA SCRIPTS - NEW WRITERS
If you’re a new writer with a play which
has been specially written for radio broadcast and you want to submit
it to the Fiction Factory, you should send it first to Brian Miller Script Reading,
who have now taken over our script-reading service. Brian Miller is a former BBC drama director and “script
doctor” who for a fee of £30 (£25 for a first
script) will read your manuscript, provide you with a detailed critical
report and, if appropriate, refer the script to us to be considered
for broadcast. We recommend this first class service especially
to writers seeking some kind of critical feedback to help them with
the direction of their work. You can obtain more details without
commitment from: Brian Miller Script Reading, 19 Queen Victoria Rd, Bristol BS6 7PE or you can email
brianmiller19@yahoo.co.uk If you do choose to use this service, remember to mention that you came via the Fiction Factory website.
If
you don’t wish to use this service, you can send your manuscript
direct to the Radio Drama Department at the BBC or to the BBC Writer's Room. You may get limited critical feedback but if they
like it you will have a reasonable chance of hearing it broadcast.
WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT SCRIPTS FOR TV
OR STAGE
